Why House of Counseling?
Anyone who follows scientific movements in psychology witnesses the emergence of several movements at the beginning of the twentieth century, namely the movement of guidance and counseling, the movement of psychometrics, the movement of mental hygiene, and the movement of child study. ) and the movement of psychoanalysis, but the psychological guidance and counseling movement was the most active of them all, and then its activities and services extended from the professional field to cover the psychological and educational fields.

In addition to what was mentioned, the theory of traits and factors that appeared at the hands of Parsons, as well as the psychometrics movement, had an impact on strengthening the psychological guidance movement in the professional and educational fields. It was also supported by the mental health and child study movements, which moved it to the social field to develop family relationships, especially between parents. And their children, and the psychological movements mentioned above did not dispense with the support of the psychoanalytic movement to complete its structure in the personal sphere of the individual with regard to his emotions and the disorders that may affect them that weaken his psychological health.

Psychological counseling then developed to be practiced with a wide and diverse segment of people, which made it necessarily shared with the professional practice of many members of psychological movements that are interconnected and mutually supportive.

The need for guidance and psychological counselors has increased in Western societies as a result of the amazing development that has affected both the material and social aspects of life, which has left its mark on the psychological aspect of individuals.

Anyone who follows the course of events in the world of which we are a part sees unequivocally this amazing change that has afflicted our lives as well, and it is accelerating in all aspects of life. It is no longer possible for us or any nation to remain isolated from it, and the competition between nations today has become one of its important aspects. In the amount of efforts made to deal with this change and at the same time preserve the nation’s identity and capabilities so that it can remain preserving its originality and capable of growth and development and achieving civilizational witness among the nations for which God Almighty made us a middle nation.

Thus We have made you [true muslims – real believers of Islâmic Monotheism, true followers of Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم and hes Sunnah (legal ways)], a just (and the best) narion, that you be witnesses over mankind and the Messenger (Muhammad Peace be upon him) be a witness over you. (Al-Baqarah: 143)

A person, whatever his position, cannot be described as complete in all aspects of his personality. He must make a lapse or slip, and must be exposed to a situation or pressure, which may scratch an aspect of his personality, resulting in a kind of anxiety, tension, and turmoil, even for a short period, at any stage of his life. His life stages.
Who among us has not been exposed to a situation in his home with his wife or one of his children that made him lose his psychological balance and emotional stability and become angry and angry?
Who among us has not tried to achieve goals that are greater than his ambitions and stronger than his energies?
Who among us has not mourned his misfortune, even for a few minutes, because of a disability or failure he encountered?
Who among us has not been pessimistic about an event that happened to him, or thought badly of someone around him?
Who among us has not practiced a habit that may be disliked to some degree, even if it is simple in his eyes and in the eyes of others?

Who among us has not needed someone else to console him for the misfortunes he has suffered in a moment?
All of these cases and situations undoubtedly make whoever is exposed to them suffer from confusion or anxiety to some degree, because none of us is infallible or perfect, and therefore we all need to regain our balance after every embarrassment, anxiety, confusion, or feeling of guilt, and all of this requires the presence of centers concerned with By helping individuals regain their psychological balance as a result of all of the above.
If error, weakness, anxiety, and confusion are characteristic of all human beings, as we mentioned above, then taking into account the magnitude of change affecting modern societies, which increases with the increase in the speed of communication as a result of the amazing progress in communication technology, this increases the importance of counseling centers that deal with behavioral disorders and the social and family problems that result. Every day there is a rapid change in economic and social conditions, which has created social problems that did not exist before, placing many burdens on the family, making it urgently need to seek help from specialists in the psychological and social aspects.
In addition, increasing awareness of the importance of psychological counseling among a segment of society makes focusing on accelerating the provision of counseling services extremely important.
Since the family is the first social institution that carries out the role of caring for children since their birth, and therefore the family climate clearly affects the children, whether this climate is normal or disturbed, especially since the disturbance in the family climate contributes directly to the disturbance of its members, and thus their need to treat these disorders increases in the event of Her appearance.

The issue is not limited to treatment, but goes beyond it to find mechanisms to prevent falling into the traps of a turbulent climate. Therefore, there is a strong justification for establishing such centers in order to provide programs aimed at protecting families from the ravages of disorder.
On the other hand, the percentage of people with special needs in societies has reached about 10% of the general population, and they are diverse, such as: (deaf children, the blind, the mentally retarded, the autistic, the multi-disabled, or those with physical deformities…etc.), These people and their families need help, and their families learning the appropriate ways to deal with them is a vital and important matter, which contributes to improving their lives on the one hand, and it also works to help them and reduce their suffering, and the suffering of their families, and this aspect is one of the factors that prompted us to create and launch this center since Twenty years.
The high rate of divorce in society after a long period of marriage heralds disasters on the social level, whether in the human or material aspect. This rise is due in part to the ignorance of young people of both sexes about the psychology of the other party, which means that there is an urgent need for offices and sites for marital counseling.
In addition to the high rates of divorce among young couples shortly after marriage, this means that there is a very urgent need to study the problem and identify the most important factors associated with it, with the aim of increasing the psychological awareness of both the young man and the girl before marrying his partner, in order to reduce the rate of these problems on the one hand, and to increase the happiness of the spouses. On the other hand, this is another justification for launching this center.
We have noticed the need of schools and educational institutions for trained psychological counselors, which means that the Counseling House is able to hold courses for such counselors to raise their counseling competence.

In addition to all of this, the studies we conducted on educational institutions, companies, and factories confirm the need to identify the factors related to the problems they suffer from, which hinder the achievement of their goals, and the accumulation of their problems. We found types of problems in these institutions, some of which are related to the decline in production, some of which are related to the weak affiliation of their workers, and some of which Regarding the selection of administrative leaders in it, for these combined justifications we have sought, for twenty years, to establish the House of Counseling, with the part that provides consultations and the other part that conducts studies and research, with the aim of helping these entities identify the factors related to the problems they suffer from, and also with the aim of helping them develop preventive plans that avoid these problems.
